UpdateOkay, through a bit of stupidity on my part I lost the rights to my old domain maisonbellchan.net, so welcome to the new web site at postalvalhalla.com. However, I have some updates! New chapters of A Goddess In Oz, Seven Fiancees, and Girl's School (a new story that I haven't published anywhere else yet). As of Summer 2005 I had posted the first three chapters of A Goddess In Oz and the first three chapters of Seven Fiancees at fanfic.net. Miko's Fanfic.net site thingy. I haven't done any new work on either but I hope to soon. At lest now the same chapters are posted here. Niether of these stories have been posted anywhere else as of yet, and haven't been preread, aside from me having read chapters of A Goddess In Oz at my local writer's meetings a while back. At the moment I'm hard at work on yet another Ranma 1/2 divergence story called Girls School, based on the premise that Ranma (and Akane) wind up attending St. Hebereke's School for Girls. Don't ask me why I felt compelled to write this story, it's all been done before of course -- Ranma attending school as a girl, Ranma's mother teaching Ranma the finer points of being a girl -- but sometimes you just write what comes into your head regardless of whether there's any compelling reason for it to exist. The first five chapters are up here, and I just posted them to Fanfic.net. As for Muyami Academy -- yeah yeah, I'll try to work on it some more soon, okay? These days when I'm not writing, I'm playing Second Life, usually as Mint Rainbow. I also write for the other fandom thing I'm involved in, Tales of the Tai-Pan. The most recent issue, #40, April 2006, has two of my stories, Monkey In The Middle and A Little Respect. Previous issues #39 has my story Angel of the Pathways, and #38 has my story Chasing the Lady. So it's not as if I've been avoiding writing completely... just my fanfic. While I'm at it let me plug some non-anime fanfic written by some of my friends. Gene Breshears is the editor of the Tai-Pan fanzine and has been a friend for many many years. He's a very good writer, and when he's not writing for the Tai-Pan, he dabbles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfic. Find his stuff at Gene's BtVS Fan Fic Site. A second friend that I know from Tai-Pan fandom (and earlier, from Elfquest fandom) who is an excellent writer and addicted to Buffy fanfic is Barb Cummings. Her stuff is found at Barb C's BTVS Fanfic. Trust me, if you like Buffy at all, these are two quality writers who are well worth reading. Finally, my friend Chuck Melville is another excellent writer who, when he's not writing for the Tai-Pan, writes his own original stories about a fox sorceress named Felicia, set in an anthromorphic fantasy world. You can buy two of his stories at his Felicia Cafepress site. They're kind of expensive for slim stories, but the fact that he can set up a print-on-demand thing through Cafe Press is actually very very cool in my book, and trust me, his stuff is worth reading. Oh, and if you're a true fan of Chuck's work then you must also visit his Mr Cow store and his Evil Sock Puppets store. The evil sock puppets come from a Felicia story, while Mr. Cow is the official representative of Mu Press, run by another friend, Edd Vick. (And... we won't mention that, aside from running a very small press comic company, Edd writes excellent stories, several of which have sold to Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction magazine. ^_^ ) On 5/22/03 I posted the complete first draft of "Bonk On The Head". On 4/27/03 I posted a complete short story, a one-shot called "Flight Control". It's silly and not to be taken seriously. I also previously added chapter one of A Goddess In Oz, and the prologue from Imaginary Knights Dimsdale. These are two stories that I've been thinking about for a long time, but the odds of me finishing them any time soon are slim.
